There’s huge problems with dramatic tension throughout the game here. It feels like there wasn’t time to really round out side quests and everything on Monarch suffers. The core plot grinds to a halt and there are huge problems with side quests. Then I hit Monarch.Įverything stops here. I really enjoyed playing through the Edgewater, Groundbreaker and Roseway sections. I was especially excited that Tim Cain and Leonard Boyarsky were heading this project, as they’re both considered the original creators of Fallout and I utterly adore the original Fallout. In fact, I think there should be way more AA games in the current market. I didn’t care it was an “AA Budget” game. Hell, I love Fallout: New Vegas so much, I made a whole fan film about it way back in 2013. I love that it was developed by Obsidian, one of my absolute favourite developers. I loved that it was a mostly traditional FPS RPG with lots of dialogue choices and fun companions. I loved it’s blend of space western and Art Nouveau aesthetics. ![]()
